Is Your Dog Ready?
Dogs need to have
some basic manners in order to start this class. Before enrolling, please take a minute to review the CGC evaluation items on the AKC
website to help you know if your dog is ready for this level of work: CGC Test Procedure
If you're not quite ready for CGC coaching, the
Pit Ed Class can be a good starting point for you and your dog. If you feel you are ready, please answer the questions below in the
email link provided.
For interest in CGC, please tell us:
1. Dog's age, condition (healthy? neutered? up to date on shots?)
2. Is your dog a mix? If so, a digital photo is encouraged to help us see if s/he is truly a pit bull.
3. Any prior
training? When? How long? Where? What classes? (obedience? performance sports?)
4. How does your dog react around other
dogs? (overly friendly? lunging? growling?)
5.Has your dog ever shown problems with people (shyness? growling?
instability? bites? jumping up?)
