The WINNERS for 2004! Sonja the Gargoyle! (Left) The judges went wild for Robert Heller's gargoyle outfit created for Red Sonja Joy. Robert says, "Her daughter Ruby also posed in this costume 3 years later, and the costume was later sold and proceedes were donated to doggy rescue!" ~ They live in Minneapolis, MN. Congrats Robert and Sonja! Scare Crow Oreo! (Right) We LOVE that Janet Chernin and her bull terrier Oreo are fighting so hard to scare Breed Specific Legislation away in Nova Scotia. How did they ever find time to make such a winning costume? ~ You Go Janet! Juliette the Bunny Princess (Left) This beauty had all the judges clutching their hearts and swooning ... "Wherefore art thou, Juliette!" She lives with her proud person, Maho in Rutherford, NJ. ~ Congratulations Juliette and Maho! Winners will receive a warm BR hoodie, design of your choice.

BAD RAP had it's own costume contest for group volunteers. Of course the winner was - hands down - Nicky Villanueva's Super Girl daughter Jasmine and Super Dog Luke! (Right) The breed is so lucky to have heroes like this in our corners. Congrats to Sweet Jasmine!

We had a blast opening up our mail every morning and seeing the amount of heart and creativity that went into these photos. Stay tuned for another contest next year with even bigger, better prizes. Thank You to everyone for helping us show off the silly side of this beloved breed!
